Example journey
A short example of one user's loop, from logging a purchase to choosing a different response the next time the pattern shows up.
Step 1 · Log a purchase
You buy something and tag how you felt.
Step 2 · Check in with your mood
You rate your day in ten seconds.
"Work deadline looming, mind elsewhere."
Step 3 · See the pattern
OdonataCo connects the dots for you.
Over 30 days, your discretionary spending was highest on days you reported feeling stressed.
Step 4 · Choose differently next time
The pattern shows up, and you pick a different response.
Stress spending flagged again. Instead of checkout, you open a 2-minute coping tool.
Example journey for illustration. The app calculates correlations between your own spending and mood check-ins. It does not diagnose or predict. Your insights come from your real data.

Who it's for
The Simplified Series
Learn it. Apply it. Understand yourself through it.

Book 1 of the series
What You Actually Need to Know About Debt in Today's Economy
For anyone doing everything right and still falling behind. This short, plain-language guide pulls back the curtain on how debt really works, the quiet mechanics that keep you paying, the rights most people don't know they have, and the few things that actually move the needle. No jargon, no shame, just what helps.
Myth Buster · Chapter 9, "Common Debt Myths, Debunked"
Myth: Checking your own credit score hurts it. Fact: Checking your own score is a soft inquiry and has no effect at all. Only applying for new credit causes a small, temporary dip.

Book 2 of the series
What You Actually Need to Know About Budgeting in Today's Economy
The companion to Understanding Debt. A clear, no-jargon walk-through of how to build a budget that actually fits your life, the few habits that make money stick, and the common traps that quietly keep people broke. Practical, shame-free, and built for real incomes.
Myth Buster · "Why Most Budgets Fail"
Myth: A budget means tracking every single penny forever. Fact: A good budget tracks the handful of categories that matter and lets the rest run on autopilot. Precision is not the goal, awareness is.

Privacy & trust
We handle two of the most personal things about you. Here is exactly what that means, in specific terms.
OdonataCo never connects to your bank, credit cards, or financial accounts. There is no Plaid link, no automatic import, no transaction feed. Every amount, debt balance, and budget category is typed in by you, so nothing is collected without you choosing to enter it.
The Debt Coach and Wellness Chat features use AI to generate personalized coaching responses. When you use those features, the context you share (including relevant financial or journal information) is sent to our AI provider to produce a reply. The rest of the app (check-ins, budget tracking, debt planning, lessons) does not send your data to any AI model.
We store the transactions, mood check-ins, budget categories, debt details, and journal notes you enter. Each user's data is isolated with row-level security. No other user can see your records. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell your data to third parties.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page. One click removes your transactions, check-ins, debts, journal entries, goals, and account. No email request needed, no waiting period.

Yes. Your financial and emotional data is private to you and protected with industry-standard security.

I'm a mother, a financial wellness coach, and someone who lives on a budget myself. I built OdonataCo because I wanted a different kind of financial wellness tool, one that recognizes that money isn't just numbers. It's connected to our emotions, habits, decisions, and everyday lives.
OdonataCo was created to help you understand those connections, so you can make more intentional decisions with your money and build a healthier financial life.
